According to him, transport and logistics problems, in particular, are associated with delays in the passage of trains and cars with export cargoes through border checkpoints. In addition, the topics of high railway tariffs and insufficient number of railway wagons are being raised, and relevant appeals are being received from regional chambers of commerce and industry.
"Many entrepreneurs, including Kazakhstani ones, raise issues of improving bank settlements, taking into account the restrictions of third countries. They are interested in the latest changes in this area and which banks can be settled with at the moment," Katyrin said.
At the same time, entrepreneurs reported barriers to the export of Russian products, in particular pharmaceutical products, related to long delays in the registration of medicines for export to Kazakhstan. Entrepreneurs also noted that there are issues related to the regulation of labor migration. So, currently, employees seconded by Russian companies have the right to stay in Kazakhstan for no more than 90 days in a 180-day period.
"The success of realizing the potential of Russian-Kazakh trade and economic cooperation will largely depend on solving, among other things, these systemic problems, on our joint efforts to improve the infrastructure of foreign economic activity, eliminate trade and customs barriers, and create additional incentives for deepening and diversifying cooperation," Katyrin concluded.
