The Ministry of Transport has approved a new form for the unified transport document

Starting from September 1, 2025, a single transport document of the prescribed form will be used for the transportation of goods, passengers and baggage. It can be issued both on paper and in electronic form.

The Russian Ministry of Transport has approved the form and procedure for the registration of a single transport document (ETD) on paper, as well as the rules for its formation in electronic form.

The Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated 06/11/2025 No. 187 "On approval of the form of a single transport document on paper, the procedure for its registration on paper or formation in the form of an electronic single transport document" was published on August 11 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The ETD is designed for the transportation of goods, passengers, hand luggage, baggage and cargo baggage in direct mixed communication using different modes of transport. It will be issued by the carrier, which is a party to the agreement on the organization of transportation, when concluding a contract with the shipper or passenger.

The document includes information about the carrier, the shipper, the recipient, the characteristics of the cargo, the conditions of carriage, the amount of the fee and special marks, including for hand luggage. The new procedure standardizes the design of transportation and simplifies the interaction between participants in the transport process.
